JUNE NEWS & PROMOTIONS
New Class and New Home!
I am so happy to join the Ritual Sacramento teaching team. Ritual is a space steeped in practice, feminine wisdom, yogic tradition, therapeutic expertise, and what I can only describe as a profound sense of family-ness.
I deeply admire every single teacher at Ritual, not only for their understanding of the human body but also in their warm, welcoming, caring, grounded and profoundly loving embodied presence.
Im grateful to Kaci Florez for her warmth, devotion and clear leadership as I join this community - and to all the teachers and students who have made me feel so welcome.
You’ll be seeing me regularly attending classes at Ritual, and please join me at 7:30am on Saturday mornings for movement, breath, and the mysterious journey that we undertake when we combine the two.
in joy!

The big deal this month is that anyone who places an order of 200PV or more will receive the 3 major tension relieving blends that doTERRA offers.
AromaTouch is the main “massage” blend, it melts away physical tension in the body and deepens the breath almost instantly. I like to massage AromaTouch into my feet, hips, back and neck - and it works wonders!! It is a profound staple in my wellness & self-care routine.
Past-Tense is one of my personal favorites in that it melts away headaches but it’s scent is truly divine! let the worries melt away as you step into the present moment with this sacred littler roller bottle.
Balance is doTERRAs grounding blend. Combining mostly root essential oils with flowers like blue tansy, it helps mediate between the upper and lower sections of our bodies and the left and right hemispheres. 8 Herbs to Calm Your Mind
Working towards my herbalism certification is one of the most awe inspiring, grounding and supportive endeavors I have chosen in my healing journey and it fills me daily with the reminder that, as modern creatures we have come to believe and experience ourselves as separate and even above the rest of our earthly ecosystem - yet this is precisely a huge cause of our physical, emotional and spiritual distress. We do not exist as isolated superiors to the land that we belong to - we actually are intrinsically OF it - moreover we are deeply sensory beings and there is a vast intelligence within us to be activated thru that aspect of ourselves. It is through engagement, communion and respect towards/with the natural world around us that our multi-dimensional and natural wellness can be restored - and we can finally return to a sense of wonderment, rather than apprehension towards our existence.
Here is Rosemary Gladstar giving a little talk on how herbs can help us in this time of overstimulation, over-information, and overwhelm.

Lifting our vibration.
Sometimes we’ve been hurt so bad and so deeply that opening our hearts again to hope feels incredibly painful and terrifying. Without realizing it, as a way of protecting ourselves from the pain of more unforeseen heartache, we begin to believe that there will always be something wrong with everything we do or everything that comes our way. Trouble is, this creates a self-fulfilling prophecy.
The fact of the mater is, you have to lift your your own vibration make more of the same.
Pause. Take a deep breath… Pause… exhale

Trouble is, this creates a self-fulfilling prophecy.
The fact of the mater is, you have to lift your your own vibration make more of the same.
Yes surprises will come our way. Yes we will be confronted again and again by the vulnerability of our life and work. But our resilience lies not in our cynicism but rather in our capacity to go through it all and still forgive, still care, still grow smarter and more skilled, still invest in belief, still invest in joy, still accept the inherently entropic nature of reality and the clumsiness of humanity.
There are days that we will be tempted to resent, blame and look down on this world and our fellow inhabitants of this planet. But try not to. Try to let it go, dust yourself off, and realize we are all carrying some form of delusion here, and delusion creates suffering.
The Buddhist say we are all pitiful. Life on this planet is laced with both beauty and pain. We have lessons to learn and karmas to burn. No one on this planet landed here on accident. Everyone here is paying some leftover bill. The way to pay your bill is to be humble, soft, and accept your lot while you hold to your own beauty and dignity through it all.
Moving our bodies through yoga, conscious breath-work, and having a few moments with no other agenda other than to breathe some compassion into the grief and pain of our own hearts is how we begin to heal the wounds and become capable of believing in the good things coming. Yoga is a proven formula to shift your state, release anger, anxiety, grief, resentments - and open up so that the flow of Grace can work its way into your body, heart spirit, life.
Cynicism is contagious.
So is hope.
Believe in healing.
Believe in the good things coming.
This is how you make them come.
in joy!,

The 15 Minute Practice
15 minutes on your mat is all it takes to… make you want to stay longer!
There’s been times in my life where I struggled to keep up with my home practice, until I finally one day promised myself to just a simple 15 minutes on my mat every single day. This little promise became the doorway to stabilize my renewed relationship to my home practice, and to my self-listening.
Are you ready? lets do this!
For those with a tight schedule or a busy life, 15 minutes dedicated to feeling your body and deepening your breath will give you a deeper sense of groundedness and connection to your own inner compass as you make decisions throughout your day.
For those with a little more space in your schedule, 15 minutes on the mat may very well become the gateway practice that gets you spending a lot more time there in delicious and exciting exploration.
Some practical tips to help your home practice stick:
Commit to only 15 minutes.
If you end up doing more, lovely - but if you only do 15 (the length of 3 songs), you will walk away with greater self-confidence and a sense of accomplishment as you build this as a daily habit. There’s no need to expect to stay longer, especially if you are new to practicing yoga without a teacher. Stick to a 15 minute practice and walk through the rest of your day feeling the spaciousness and freedom it brings to your body, mind and respiratory system.
Don’t wait for your space to be “perfect”
Waiting for everything in your home to be clean before you get on your mat is a trap. Just ignore the mess if there is one and get on your mat. Are there still items on your To-Do list? they can wait 15 minutes, its ok.
Consistency is your friend
It really makes a difference when you commit to getting on your mat every single day at the same time if you can. Maybe it’s the 15 minutes before you get into your bed for the night. Maybe it’s the 15 minutes while your oatmeal cooks in the morning, maybe it’s that you force yourself to take a precious 15 minute break in the afternoon or at lunch. Just pick a time and stick to that time every day. This will work its own magic and will make your 15 minute practice stick.
Build momentum and the momentum will build you
The first few days of this commitment may be challenging to get yourself on your mat for your allotted 15 minutes - but once you get a few consecutive days going, the momentum will help you stay on track. Try not to skip a day though, the power built through your consistency will begin to dissipate and you may find yourself making exceptions here and there until you may completely fall off the proverbial wagon. Stay the course, try not to skip a day, and it will become less likely that you will skip a day.
Below is the playlist I’ve been enjoying in the mornings on my mat. Is there music you are loving to move to? comment below or drop me a line and share it with me!
And let me know how the 15minute practice goes for you!
May our efforts on and off the mat be of benefit to all beings.
In joy!
Natasha.
